The stone Grade II listed building is in the centre of Sheffield overlooking the Peace Gardens. The works comprised of the complete strip out and removal of all existing timber work, shop fronts, floors etc leaving only the main structural walls in place.
New foundations were constructed in the basement and a new structure created in part of the central courtyard. Major structural and cosmetic repairs to the stone facades were carried out along with the re-building of the Victorian chimney stacks. The building was re-roofed in natural slate. All the internal works were then constructed to form shells for the retail units and the apartments.
